Sweet Annie Herbs is located in the original carriage house of the historic Gage Mansion, which was built in 1896 by Colonel George F. Gage. He came to Huntingdon with his family to manage the Huntingdon & Broad Top Mountain Railroad. Annie lives in the mansion, and operates it as a bed & breakfast. It was damaged by fire in 2010, but it was completely restored and opened again in 2011. She held several open houses, and donated most of the proceeds from the events to local non-profit groups, including the firefighters who saved the home from total destruction. There are five different postcards available for sale. Some photos were provided by Ed Stoddard. |
